Stewart & Stewart sponsors the Teen Academy

Every summer, the Carmel Police Department hosts the Teen Academy. Sponsored by Stewart & Stewart Attorneys, this important local program allows teens to join the police force and learn the basics of going through the police academy. Students accepted into the program learn decision-making and leadership skills while creating fond relationships with their local police and peers.

They train with police dogs, learn about the dangers of drunk driving, and participate in close order drill and physical fitness training. They also practice confrontations, stops, safe firearms training, and much more. The ultimate goal of the program is to gain an appreciation for the importance of community service.

We’re proud that Stewart & Stewart’s sponsorship means all teens can attend this program free of charge. Along with an unforgettable growth experience, the program provides attendees with t-shirts and water bottles and the chance to earn scholarships. At the end of the program, all participants enjoy an award ceremony complete with a catered dinner to celebrate their accomplishments.
